Announcements Organic Farm Bike Tour
Join us for 6 weeks of riding to the local organic farms in and around Concord. These rides will increase your awareness about ecologically sound farming practices. Most of these farms aim to promote a deeper sense of community among the area residents. Through supplying Boston area restaurants with local certified Organic produce and donating to soup kitchens and shelters. We will also learn about volunteer opportunities and other ways to help out. We will ride to a different farm each week, leaving from Concord Center at 9 AM and returning at 12 Noon. Bikes, helmets, snacks and water provided. Agenda and more information will be made available upon registration. Release form required. Tours will be every Friday beginning on September 19 - October 24th.

Bike and Write
A special, unique and fun learning experience for middle school students, Bike & Write is a 4-week course that offers young people healthy physical activity and creative artistic expression through appreciation of the history, culture and nature of Concord. Each week we explore a different route through the town with rides tailored to the fitness levels of participants. Each trip has a particular theme with individual and group writing activities related to the theme. We bike, then write (and snack), then bike some more, and write again, with a new theme each week to organize our creative process. Enrollment is limited to 10. Release form required. (CMS can take the library bus; we start when the bus arrives.) Concord Bike Tours will provide writing journals, bikes, helmets, water bottles and snacks. Participants may bring their own bikes and helmets, but they must be delivered to the library parking lot on Stow Street. Tours will be every Thursday beginning September 18 - October 16th. We will meet at the Concord Free and Public Library.
